We run four servers in-house, one for Nanopore basecalling and the other three for genomics and metagenomics pipelines. By providing rental service of our servers, we wish to enable more people to analyze their sequence data at will and hassle-free.
High-quality DNA extraction is the first vital step to a successful microbial genomics project. We apply various protocols tailored to specific sample types, f.x. colonies, soils, sediments, swabs, filters, and plant/animal tissues. Only proven commercially available kits are used.
This is a compilation of protocols and methods we use in analyzing the sequencing data of microbial genomes, microbiomes, and amplicons. It covers Linux basics and various bioinformatics pipelines. All protocols are tested in a local Bio-Linux server.
Spike-ins are known quantities of DNA added to samples before sequencing. They can be used to quantify the total amount of DNA in a sample, normalize the data across samples, and assess the quality of the sequencing data.
